Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

I provide Psychodynamic Psychotherapy which aims at deep understanding of psychological difficulties. It focuses on how we understand ourselves, our relationships, our past and present. It uses the interaction between patient and therapist to help understand patterns in other relationships. The therapy also considers more unconscious aspects, those things we are less aware of, but which can shape our lives. A psychodynamic approach can be helpful when difficulties are longstanding, repetitive and hard to resolve.

You can find more information here.

The Process of Therapy

The therapy is once or twice-weekly. We would first have two or three assessment sessions to determine if psychodynamic psychotherapy is right for you. We would think about the likely duration of therapy. If we decide to proceed, sessions would be on the same day(s) and time(s) each week.

Fees

The fee is £55 per session (50 minutes)

Location

I work at the Practice Rooms in Broomhill, a short distance from Sheffield city centre. There is free parking on site.
